Teams will play the final 18 holes on Wednesday with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m.

DANIEL ISLAND, S.C.- Through two rounds of The Bryson Invitational, the No. 21 Wake Forest men's golf team recorded its second under-par round of the week, remaining in contention heading into Wednesday's final round

The Demon Deacons posted a 36-hole total of 564 (-12), placing them fourth overall, just five strokes back of No. 3 Vanderbilt, the current leader.

Senior Jakob Melin carded his second under-par round at The Bryson Invitational, keeping the Deacs in contention for their third team title of the 2025-26 season. In his second round, Melin shot a bogey-free front nine, including an impressive hole-out for eagle on hole No. 5.

The Göteberg, Sweden native heads into the final round tied for eighth place at five-under, only four shots off the individual lead and his first collegiate victory.

Junior Kyle Haas climbed 15 spots on the 85-player individual leaderboard after firing a 69 (-3) in his second round. He now sits tied for 17th at three-under. Alongside Haas, junior Tom Haberer also holds a share of 17th place at three-under.

Teams will play the final 18 holes on Wednesday, October 15. The Deacs will be in the third group off the first tee with players from Cincinnati and South Carolina, with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m.

From Coach Haas:

"We have been making enough birdies, but today we had a couple of costly double bogeys. We're not out of it by any means. The team will need to get off to a hot start tomorrow, which we will, and play a little bit better throughout holes 8 to 18 to have a chance. Another under par round as a team, so not the end of the world, but I know the guys are disappointed as well as we were playing early on in round two. Go Deacs!"
