Omir Fernandez is set to represent the Demon Deacons in the MLS Playoffs.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - As the 2025 Major League Soccer regular season concludes, Wake Forest's professional presence continues to shine across the league. From Omir Fernandez's postseason run in Portland to breakout campaigns and strong showings from young stars elsewhere, Demon Deacons once again made their mark at the next level.
Fernandez Heads to the Playoffs
Fernandez played a key role in helping Portland secure its postseason spot. The versatile midfielder appeared in 26 matches, making two starts and logging over 600 minutes.
Fernandez contributed one goal and two assists on the season, with both assists coming during his early stretch with the Colorado Rapids before joining the Timbers. His goal proved vital in a 1-1 draw against Minnesota United. A steady performer in possession, he completed 200 of 260 passes (76.9%) across his campaign.
He and the Timbers will take on Real Salt Lake in the Wild Card round on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 10:30 p.m. eastern time.
DC Deacs Shine in the Capital
Wake Forest's influence in Washington, D.C. continued to grow this season, with three Demon Deacons featuring for D.C. United.
Hosei Kijima impressed, starting 20 of his 29 appearances and logging nearly 1,600 minutes. He scored twice, against Sporting Kansas City (March 8) and Colorado Rapids (May 3), while completing 81.1% of his passes (472-of-582) and contributing 36 shot-creating actions.
Brandon Servania, one of D.C.'s most consistent performers, played in 29 matches (23 starts), logging nearly 2,000 minutes. He provided two assists, one against Colorado (May 3) and another against Inter Miami (Sept. 20), and excelled defensively with 65 tackles, 26 blocked shots and 14 interceptions, while completing 86.9% of his passes (771-of-887).
Garrison Tubbs continued to make a positive defensive impact in his second professional campaign for the side, starting seven of his eight matches and recording 12 tackles, 11 interceptions and nine blocked shots. He completed 232-of-252 passes (92.4%) in 565 minutes of action before being loaned out to Loudoun United.
Harris Breakout Season in Colorado
In his third MLS season, Harris enjoyed a career year as one of Colorado's most dynamic attacking options. Appearing in 27 matches (13 starts) and logging over 1,300 minutes, Harris tallied five goals and one assist. He finished the year with the fourth-most goal contributions on the club.
He found the net in back-to-back games against the LA Galaxy (June 25) and New England (June 28). The Englishman was also second on the team in progressive carries (46). The former first-round pick connected on 259 of 326 passes (79.4%) while providing pace and creativity in the final third.
California Connection
A veteran presence in San Jose's midfield, Harkes remained one of the Earthquakes' most reliable contributors. He appeared in 29 matches, starting 27 and surpassing 2,100 minutes while playing the full 90 on 10 occasions.
Harkes recorded three goals and two assists, with both assists coming in a 3-3 draw against Houston on May 24. San Jose went unbeaten in matches where he registered a goal contribution. He added 29 tackles, 23 interceptions, and an 83.5% passing accuracy (866-of-1,037) while anchoring the midfield.
In Los Angeles, Isaiah Parente appeared in 25 games (nine starts) for the Galaxy, logging 1,050 minutes and providing an assist against Inter Miami (Aug. 16). He tallied 26 shot-creating actions and completed 687 of 780 passes (87.9%).

- Machop Chol has scored three goals in 21 matches for Zalgiris, who sit third in A Lyga with four matches remaining.
- If they remain in third, the club will qualify for the Europa Conference League.
