Wake Forest Men's Basketball Overview
Behind the passion of Deacon Nation and the tutelage of head coach Steve Forbes, Wake Forest men's basketball has built one of college basketball's premier home court advantages over the last four seasons, as the Demon Deacons have collected a 61-10 at LJVM Coliseum since 2021—tied nationally for the fourth-most home wins over that period.
Additionally, Wake Forest's 29 home ACC wins and 72.5 home winning percentage over the last four seasons is tied for the third-most in the league.
Wake Forest saw a resurgence in attendance numbers with 153,029 fans packing Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum during the 2024-25 season. This marked the highest total attendance since the 2014-15 season when Wake Forest hosted 174,336 fans. Average per-game attendance also grew to 9,564, the best average home attendance since 2010-2011.
Highest Attended Home Games In Steve Forbes Era
In 2024-25, the Demon Deacons earned 21 victories and the program's first-ever double bye in the ACC Tournament. With 13 ACC victories – tied for the most in a single season in school history and the second time in four seasons the Deacs have hit that mark – Wake Forest earned its highest regular-season finish since the 2008-09 campaign.
Wake Forest matched the school record for road ACC victories with six and became the only ACC program to sweep the West Coast swing with victories at Stanford and Cal. Additionally, the Deacs set a new program record for ACC victories over a four-year span with 47 since the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign.
During that four-year span, Wake Forest is also the only ACC program with a first-team All-ACC selection every year while Alondes Williams and Tyree Appleby each earned an ACC Player of the Year selection.
A Look At The Squad
The Deacs' 2025-26 roster features a mixture of strong veteran returners along with a talented incoming class of transfers and freshmen.
Following a season in which he started all 32 games and led the Demon Deacons in rebounding, graduate Tre'Von Spillers returns for his second season while sophomore Juke Harris and junior Omaha Biliew will look to build on their debut seasons in Winston-Salem.
A strong group of incoming transfers include all-conference selections Cooper Schwieger and Nate Calmese, reigning Summit League Freshman of the Year Sebastian Akins, 2023 Conference USA All-Freshman Team honoree Mekhi Mason and Purdue standout Myles Colvin along with rising freshmen Isaac Carr, Jaylen Cross and Dimitrije Kovacevic.
