This marks the program’s 24th NCAA Tournament appearance and fourth in the last five years.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - For the fourth time in the last five seasons, the Wake Forest women's soccer team has been selected to the 2025 NCAA Tournament as a No. 7 seed. The Demon Deacons will host South Carolina in the first round on Friday, Nov. 14 at Spry Stadium.
The first-round clash with the Gamecocks is slated for 6 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase now starting at $5 for the hill, $10 for general admission and $15 for chairback. Additionally, youth tickets are available for $5.
The Deacs will be making their 24th all-time appearance in the tournament, with 23 coming under the helm of head coach Tony da Luz. Of note, Wake Forest had its most successful NCAA run a year ago as it made its first national championship appearance in its second-ever trip to the College Cup (2011, 2024).
Wake Forest completed their 2025 campaign with a 10-4-4 overall record, highlighted by a 3-2 road victory over No. 9 Duke and a 1-1 draw at home with No. 1 Notre Dame.
The Deacs were exceptional at Spry Stadium this season, as they equaled the longest home unbeaten streak in program history with an 8-0-3 mark and have been a stellar 22-1-8 at home over the last three seasons.
This will be the second NCAA tournament meeting with South Carolina in the last four years, with the Demon Deacons falling to the Gamecocks on the road in the first round in 2022.
The other seeded teams in Wake Forest's part of the bracket are No. 2 Michigan State, No. 3 Colorado and No. 6 Xavier. The highest-seeded team will host the second and third rounds.
