Wake Forest Football is proud to honor the dedicated teachers and staff of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WSFCS) for the “WSFCS Educator Celebration Game” on Saturday, Nov. 22, inside Allegacy Stadium when the Demon Deacons face Delaware.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – In the spirit of Pro Humanitate, and Wake Forest Athletics' goal of Providing Value to the University, Winston-Salem and Triad Communities, Coach Jake Dickert and the Wake Forest University football team are proud to take the Allegacy Stadium field on November 22 in celebration of the teachers and staff of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools (WSFCS).

Partnering with leading community-minded contributors Allegacy Federal Credit Union, Proof of the Pudding, and Inmar Intelligence, Wake Forest will provide 3,000 sponsored packages - including a game ticket, a complimentary stadium meal, parking, and a celebratory t-shirt - for WSFCS teachers, staff, and their families, giving these dedicated educators  a well-deserved day of celebration together inside Allegacy Stadium. This initiative also highlights the ongoing community-wide efforts to support and uplift Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in overcoming current financial challenges.

"Wake Forest strives to be a community of meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships," said President Susan R. Wente. "With this special game-day initiative, we hope to extend that sense of partnership and care to our school district teachers and staff during this challenging time, and show them their work and dedication to the children of our district matters. We see them and we celebrate them, on this game day and every day."

Wake Forest University and Wake Forest Athletics, in partnership with WSFCS and the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Foundation, will also recognize select educators and school representatives on the field throughout the game.

"This celebration represents our community at its best — coming together to support our educators and strengthen our schools," said Wake Forest Vice President & Director of Athletics John Currie. "Regardless of the fiscal winds swirling above, our school teachers, custodians, support staff and special needs educators are fully invested every day to care for and inspire the children of our community to reach their full potential. Together with our partners, we are proud to salute WSFC educators and provide them this special day of all the fun of college football in Allegacy Stadium."

"As a coach, I've seen firsthand how the influence of great educators can shape young people's lives — including the young men in our locker room," said head coach Jake Dickert. "That impact is deeply personal for me. I come from a family of educators, and my three children are proud students in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. We're incredibly grateful for the teachers and staff who pour into them — and into thousands of kids across this community every day. This celebration is about saying thank you and reminding our educators that what they do truly matters."

The Educator Celebration Game is one of two remaining home opportunities this fall for Deacon Nation to come together and cheer on head coach Jake Dickert's team inside Allegacy Stadium.

First, Wake Forest's biggest home game of the season is just around the corner as the Deacs host North Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 15, in what marks just the Tar Heels' seventh trip to Winston-Salem this century. The matchup carries deep historical significance — these two programs met in the first college football game ever played in North Carolina on Oct. 18, 1888, when Wake Forest defeated UNC 6–4 in Raleigh. More than 135 years later, the rivalry remains one of the region's most storied and spirited. Amidst an incredible season that's featured clutch wins, a perfect October, and a three-game winning streak, the Demon Deacons need the full force of the home crowd behind them for this Big Four showdown. With that, just one week later — in addition to it being Educator Celebration Day — the entire community can come together again for Seniors & Graduates Day on Nov. 22, as Wake Forest honors a remarkable group of veteran players who have led the program back to its winning ways. These student-athletes embraced Coach Jake Dickert and his staff, set the tone for a new era, and embodied what it means to wear the Old Gold and Black.
