WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's soccer, the reigning 2024 ACC Champions, has announced the addition of defender Copeland Berkley as part of the program's 2025 signing class.
The Portage, Mich., native has played over 2,300 minutes with New York Red Bulls II and has been with the club since his U12 days.
"We couldn't be more excited to add a player of Copeland's ability to our 2025 recruiting class," head coach Bobby Muuss said. "We've been recruiting Copeland for a long time now and very excited to see him join an already talented recruiting class. Copeland has a wealth of experience at a high level in the Red Bull Academy so I'm thrilled to welcome him to Wake Forest and look forward to getting to work with him."
Berkeley made his New York Red Bulls II debut at the age of 16 against New England on April 21, 2023. Two weeks later, he earned his first start and went the full 90 against Philadelphia.
Over his 35 appearances and 29 starts for the second team, he helped record nine clean sheets and added three assists. Of note, he was teammates with fellow Demon Deacon Nico Rabiu.
He is the latest addition to the 2025 signing class as he joins Lorenze Currie, Alfred Debah, John Di Stefano, Chandler Young as well as transfers Tate Lorentz and Harvey Sarajian.
Muuss and the Wake Forest coaching staff are still looking to finalize the 2025 roster.
