Wake Forest Women’s Golf Adds Winston-Salem Native Morgan Ketchum to 2025 Roster

Ketchum most recently added another top-20 finish to her career at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team announced the addition of Morgan Ketchum, a Winston-Salem native and rising senior from Virginia Tech. She finished the year ranked No. 187 on Scoreboard and No. 273 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
This past year, the junior recorded two runner-up finishes and was second on the team with a 73.47 scoring average, and closed her season out with four back-to-back top 20 performances. She shot a season-best six-under par (210) at the UNCG/AGPC Invitational to help lead the Hokies to their first team title of the season and a second-place finish individually.
As a freshman, Ketchum led Tech with a 72.45 scoring average – the second-best, single-season scoring average in program history at the time, and best among first-year players. She recorded her first collegiate title at the Schooner Classic as a sophomore, where she shot nine-under 201 to break Virginia Tech's 54-hole record.
A graduate of Reagan High School, Ketchum was a member of the Class of 2022 alongside fellow Demon Deacon and rising junior Macy Pate. During her high school years, Ketchum tabbed multiple accolades, helping lead her team to three NCHSAA 4A Team State Championships.
Additionally, she earned an individual title as the 2021-2022 NCHSAA 4A Individual State Champion and was a two-time runner-up CGA Carolinas Amateur Championship. Coached in her junior years by former Wake Forest women's golf head coach Dianne Dailey, she was an All-Conference honoree all four years and was Conference Player of the Year in 2019 and 2021 (fall).
