Fifteen from Wake Forest Football Named to All-ACC Academic Team

The 79 honors over the past three seasons are the most for a three-year stretch in program history.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest football team had 15 student-athletes named to the All-ACC Academic, as announced by the league office Friday.
The 79 honors over the past three seasons are the most for a three-year stretch in program history. Additionally, the 15 honorees were tied for the sixth most in the conference this year.
Additionally, this is the ninth-consecutive year the Demon Deacons have had four or more members on the All-Academic team and the sixth consecutive season five players garnered honors.
The Wake Forest honorees include six Demon Deacons who have been named to the team twice, including three-time All-ACC Academic Team member Tate Carney.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0-grade point average for the previous two semesters and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and being classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.
