Senior Macy Pate recorded a runner-up finish individually at three-under-par.
WILMINGTON, N.C. - No. 1 Wake Forest women's golf finished its fall slate with a runner-up finish at the Landfall Tradition at C.C. of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
The Deacs carded 33 birdies across 54-holes, while also recording the least number of double-bogeys and second lowest bogeys behind only the tournament winner.
Along with the team performance, senior Macy Pate recorded another top-five finish, marking her third of the season. The Winston-Salem, N.C.-native fired twelve birdies throughout the three rounds, with half of those birdies in round three.
Freshman Vidhi Lakhawala recorded her highest finish yet, at T14 and five-over. Meanwhile, freshman Benedicte Brent-Petersen placed T17 at six-over, and placed no lower than the top-20 in her first fall with the Deacs.
Freshman Havanna Torstensson worked her way back from two difficult rounds the previous days, with an even par on day three and jumped 32 spots. Junior Sarah Lydic wrapped the tournament with a T41 finish and five birdies.
Coaches Comments
"Ending with the lowest round of the day was a great finish for the Demon Deacons, especially considering the extremely tough conditions. Overall, it was a good way to end the fall season.
