No. 7 Wake Forest Tied Third After First Round in Florida

MELBOURNE, Fla. - After one round at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Fla., the no.7-ranked Wake Forest women's golf team is tied third with two Deacs inside the top 10.
The Winston-Salem duo of junior Macy Pate and graduate student Morgan Ketchum carded clean front nines to place themselves within the top-10. Both lead the Deacs with three birdies apiece.
Pate was one of two other competitors to record a birdie on the par-four 5th and is tied second, just one stroke off the leader. After Ketchum's bogey-free front nine, the graduate student completed the day at tied ninth and even-par.
Senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen wrapped round one at T40 and three-over, while sophomore Chloe Kovelesky finished four-over and T50.
Sights Set on Round Two
The second round of three will begin at 8:50 a.m. ET. Wake Forest will be paired with No. 5 Florida and No. 24 Florida State with live scoring available via Scoreboard.
