Young secured his second PGA Tour victory.
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Ten starts after earning his first PGA Tour victory at the 2025 Wyndham Championship in August, Wake Forest men's golf alum Cameron Young captured his second PGA Tour title Sunday at The Players Championship.
Entering his final round four strokes off the individual lead, Young carded a masterful 4-under-par final round at TPC Sawgrass to win one of the PGA Tour's premier events.
Young played bogey-free on the back nine, and blasted a 375-yard drive, the longest ever on the 18th at TPC Sawgrass.
Young's four-stroke comeback matches the fifth-largest final-round comeback in Players Championship history. It matches the largest comeback of the 2026 season on TOUR (4 strokes/Chris Gotterup/2026 WM Phoenix Open).
This is Young's third consecutive top-10 finish (T7/The Genesis Invitational, T3/Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard). It is his second streak of three consecutive top-10s on TOUR (T3/2022 RBC Heritage, T2/2022 Truist Championship, T3/2022 PGA Championship).
With the victory, Young earned 750 FedExCup points and moved from No. 12 to No. 2 in the FedExCup standings, the highest ranking of his career after any week.
