No. 6 Deacs Complete First Round in Hilton Head

Wake Forest will begin round two of three at 10:20 a.m.
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Battling strong winds and tough conditions, the no.6-ranked Wake Forest women's golf team completed its first day at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate tied for fourth and one stroke behind third.
The Deacs totaled 10 birdies on their first day of competition, tied fifth among the field of 17. Additionally, the squad is averaging an under par score on par fives, good for second behind tournament leader no. 9 Texas.
Leading the Demon Deacons in T15 after 18 holes is junior Macy Pate. The 2025 All-ACC Team member shot an even front nine and is one-over heading into day two.
Inside of the top-30, senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen and graduate Morgan Ketchum are both tied for T27 at three-over. Ketchum leads the Deacs with three birdies.
Freshman Cartoon Rujiranan had a solid showing in just her third competition as a Demon Deacon, with back-to-back birdies before the turn.
Round Two Next
The second round of three will begin at 10:20 a.m. ET. Wake Forest will be paired with No. 8 Arkansas and Ohio State with live scoring available via Scoreboard.
