Juke Harris Named ACC Most Improved Player and Second-Team All-ACC Selection

This is the second time Wake Forest has had a player selected as ACC Most Improved Player as Harris leads the nation in points per game increase.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Following a regular season in which his scoring increase was the highest of any Division I player, Wake Forest sophomore guard Juke Harris has been named the ACC's 2025-26 Most Improved Player. Additionally, the Salisbury, N.C., native was named a second-team All-ACC selection.
This marks the second ACC Most Improved Player selection in program history since the award's inception during the 2013-14 season, as Harris joins former Demon Deacon John Collins who earned the honor in 2016-17.
Harris averaged 22.9 points per game during the 18-game ACC slate, the second-highest average in the ACC this season and the highest of any Demon Deacon on record since Charlie Davis in 1970-71. He also was the first Wake Forest player to score 30 or more three times against ACC opponents in a single season since 1996-97.

Over the course of the entire regular season, Harris' meteoric rise has been highlighted by the sophomore averaging 21.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Harris is one of just five players nationally – and the only guard – to average more than 21 points and six rebounds per game. .

After averaging 6.1 points per game as a freshman, the Salisbury, N.C., native's 15.6 points per game increase this year is the highest increase year-over-year in the nation.
Scoring Increase Leaders (Nationally)
Harris' 21.7 points per game over the first 31 games of the season is also the highest by a Demon Deacon since Tony Byers also averaged 21.7 points per game during the 1972-73 campaign. The Salisbury, N.C., native has also scored 10 or more points in 31-straight games to start the season, tied for the longest stretch in program history alongside Tim Duncan (1996-97) and Jeff Teague (2008-09).
Harris was also joined only by Duke's Cameron Boozer as the only ACC players to score in double-digits in all 31 regular season games.
Entering the ACC Tournament, Harris' 671 points so far this season are sixth-most in a single season in program history and most by a Demon Deacon since Charlie Davis' 690 points in 1970-71.

On Feb. 25 against Boston College, Harris scored 38 points – most by a Demon Deacon since Justin Gray's 38 against Maryland on Jan. 15, 2006.
Additionally, Harris joined Wake Forest Sports Hall of Famers Charlie Davis, Dickie Hemric and Len Chappell as the only sophomores in school history to score 38 or more points in a game.

Harris also made significant contributions in terms of rebounding this season as his 209 total rebounds this season rank as the third-most in a single season by a Wake Forest guard since the 1996-97 season.
