WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's soccer program has announced the addition of goalkeeper Quinn Syrett to its roster, bringing a highly promising young talent with professional experience into the fold ahead of the upcoming season.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Syrett arrives in Winston-Salem after developing within the Charlotte FC academy system. He has already gained valuable experience at a high level, making his professional debut with Crown Legacy and training extensively with Charlotte FC's first team. Syrett's background competing against top-tier talent positions him to make an immediate impact for the Demon Deacons.
"We're excited to welcome Quinn to our program," said head coach Bobby Muuss. "He's a player who has already experienced the professional environment at a young age, and that speaks volumes about his ability and mentality. He brings a strong work ethic, technical quality, and a desire to continue improving that fits exactly what we look for at Wake Forest."
So far this season in MLS Next Pro, Syrett has made five appearances with a pair of clean sheets against Chattanooga and Atlanta United 2. He also recorded a six-save performance in the first match of the season.
Additionally, he has gone a perfect 5-0 in his appearances for Crown Legacy, helping propel the club to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
Syrett developed his game through a combination of high-level club competition. His time training alongside professional players within Charlotte FC's first team has accelerated his growth and provided a strong foundation as he transitions to the collegiate level.
With his blend of professional experience and developmental upside, Syrett adds another dynamic piece to Wake Forest's roster as the program continues to finalize its 2026 squad.
