CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Following another historic season both on the court and in the classroom, two members of the Wake Forest men's tennis team were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference office Friday afternoon.
Junior Luca Pow and sophomore Joaquin Guilleme represented the Demon Deacons on this year's list after helping lead Wake Forest to an ACC Championship, a regular season conference title and its third-consecutive NCAA semifinal.
Pow collected his third-consecutive All-ACC Academic Team honor, becoming one of just a handful of Demon Deacons in program history to earn the distinction at least three times. The finance major continued to establish himself as one of the nation's premier players, earning Second Team All-ACC singles honors while surpassing the 30-win mark in singles for the third consecutive season.
He also garnered Singles All-America honors after advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championship and finished the year with 32 singles victories, highlighted by a 20-4 dual-match record primarily on court three.
Guilleme earned his first career All-ACC Academic Team selection following a breakout sophomore campaign. The communication major posted 31 singles victories, including a team-best 25 during the spring dual season, while playing a key role in Wake Forest's run to the NCAA semifinals.
Among his biggest moments of the season was a dramatic comeback victory in the NCAA quarterfinals against Arizona after dropping the opening set 6-0, clinching the match to send the Demon Deacons to the national semifinals.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Undergraduate Academic Team include being enrolled at the institution for at least one academic year while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher as well as a 3.00 GPA or better over the most recent two academic terms. Student athletes must also have competed in at least 50% of team contests.
