Amaral Earns ACC Goalkeeper of the Week

The redshirt-junior marks her second weekly nod from the conference this season.
CHARLOTTE – Redshirt-junior Valentina Amaral has been named ACC Co-Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. This marks the second weekly award for Amaral this season.
The Oviedo, Fla.-native led the Demon Deacons to three consecutive shutouts to open the season, and has since accumulated two more, including one on the road.
The goalkeeper leads the conference and is third in the nation with: 0.15 goals against average, 0.952 save percentage and five total shutouts. This past Sunday, she reached her 30th career win over No. 10 Virginia and 18th career shutout.
Amaral currently ranks first in program history with 0.69 career goals against average. Additionally, with her 18 individual career shutouts, she ranks third behind NWSL Pros Kaitlyn Parks and Aubrey Bledsoe in Wake Forest women's soccer history.
