Tight end Blake Whiteheart hauled in the game-winning touchdown for the Cleveland Browns to headline ProDeacs.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – ProDeacs made its triumphant return during Week Two of the 2026 NFL season, highlighted by tight end Blake Whiteheart recording a game-winning touchdown, running back Kenneth Walker III continuing his stellar start on Sunday Night Football and a showdown between a pair of former Deacs.
Whiteheart Comes in Clutch for Cleveland
Tight end Blake Whiteheart came up in the clutch on Sunday as he helped lead the Cleveland Browns to their first win of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Trailing by three late in the fourth quarter, Whiteheart hauled in a 17-yard touchdown reception with 3:51 left to play to give the Browns a 23-19 lead. The Browns would hold on following a lengthy weather delay to move to 1-1 on the season.
This marked Whiteheart's second career touchdown and his first since the 2024 season. Over his career, Whiteheart has totaled 10 catches for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Walker III Continues Hot Start in Primetime
Running back Kenneth Walker III continued his hot start to the 2026 season as he and the Kansas City Chiefs pushed past the Indianapolis Colts in overtime on Sunday Night Football. Walker finished the game with 117 rushing yards on 24 carries. He also added six catches for 61 yards against the Colts, including a 22-yard catch and run to set up the game-winning field goal.
Walker leads the league in both rushing yards and yards from scrimmage through the first two weeks, totaling 290 rushing yards and 369 yards from scrimmage. Over his last eight games, including the playoffs last season with the Seahawks, the fifth-year pro has logged 181 touches for 1,140 yards and nine touchdowns.
Additionally, Walker is the first Chiefs running back to record over 100 rushing yards in back-to-back games since 2021.
Combs, Strnad Face Off in Mile High
Week Two of the 2026 NFL season also featured a matchup between a pair of former Demon Deacon linebackers as Justin Strnad and the Denver Broncos defeated Branson Combs and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon in Denver.
Strnad ended the game with seven tackles, including three solo efforts and a tackle for loss. Meanwhile, Combs, who impressed in his season debut last week, tallied a pair of tackles with one solo tackle.
