Mosejczuk Clinches NCAA Singles Championship Berth at ITA All-American Championships

The New York native battled through qualifying before making a run to the semifinals of the main draw.
TULSA, Okla. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the 2026 ITA Men's All-American Championships Saturday, highlighted by a deep run from Dominick Mosejczuk, who advanced to the semifinals of the singles main draw and secured a spot in the NCAA Singles Championship.
Mosejczuk battled through qualifying before making his way through four rounds of the main draw, earning his place among the final four players in the 64-player field. By reaching the quarterfinals, Mosejczuk clinched one of eight automatic berths to the NCAA Singles Championship awarded to the main-draw quarterfinalists.
The sophomore opened the tournament with qualifying victories over TCU's Maximus Dussault and Clemson's Bruno Kuzuhara before defeating Harvard's Nathan Blokhin (#44), 6-4, 6-2, in the first round of the main draw.
Mosejczuk then produced one of the most dramatic victories of the tournament against No. 9 Gabriel Debru of Texas. After splitting the first two sets, Mosejczuk trailed 5-6, 0-40 in the third, staring down four consecutive match points. He fought off all four, including a nearly minute-long deuce point, before battling back to force the tiebreak. Mosejczuk ultimately prevailed, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(3), to advance to the round of 16.
Mosejczuk continued his run against Tulsa's Nikita Volonski, earning a 7-6(4), 6-1 victory to reach the quarterfinals and officially punch his ticket to the NCAA Singles Championship.
In the quarterfinals, Mosejczuk came from behind to defeat No. 47 Maxwell Exsted of USC, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, advancing to the ITA All-American semifinals. His run ultimately came to an end against No. 6 Keegan Rice of Virginia, 6-3, 6-4, in the semifinals.
Mosejczuk finished the tournament with six victories and five wins over ranked opponents. Before his defeat on Saturday, he had won 20-consecutive matches at the collegiate level. He went perfect (13-0) in the spring without dropping a set.
Aryan Shah also advanced through the preliminary rounds and earned a top-10 win in the main draw. After defeating No. 116 Johan Oscar Lien of Kentucky and No. 97 Lucas Marionneau of Texas in qualifying, Shah knocked off No. 10 Matt Forbes of Ohio State, 6(5)-7, 7-6(2), 6-3, in the opening round of the main draw.
Emanuel Ivanišević also made a strong run through the early stages of the tournament, advancing from pre-qualifying into qualifying. The freshman earned victories over Fairfield's Diego Alcala, Arizona State's Milos Mikovic and No. 98 Vincent Marysko of San Diego in his first three matches in the Old Gold & Black.
In doubles, the No. 8 pairing of Pow and Shah opened main-draw play with a 5-7, 6-2, [10-5] victory over No. 37 Forbes/Okonkwo of Ohio State before falling to No. 28 Ruland/Berrut of San Diego in the round of 16.
Mosejczuk and Ivanišević picked up a victory in doubles qualifying, defeating Santa Clara's Farag-Cao/Lemaitre Vilchis, 6-3, 6-3, before withdrawing from their second-round match.
The ITA Men's All-American Championships marked Wake Forest's first collegiate event of the 2026 fall season, with seven Demon Deacons competing across the singles pre-qualifying, qualifying and main draws and two doubles teams entering the tournament.
Mosejczuk's run gives Wake Forest its first automatic NCAA Singles Championship qualifier, while the Demon Deacons continue their fall slate next month at the ITA Carolina Regionals in Columbia, S.C. from Oct. 8-12 with another opportunity to book tickets to Athens.
