Wake Forest Alumni Cam Young, Webb Simpson and the United States Win Presidents Cup

Cameron Young Made His Second Presidents Cup Appearance.
CHICAGO, Ill. - Wake Forest men's golf alum Cameron Young was instrumental in Team USA's 17-13 victory over the International Team in the 2026 Presidents Cup at the Medinah Country Club in Illinois.
It is the 11th consecutive victory for the United States in the biannual competition between the top players from America and the top players from the rest of the world, minus Europe.
Cameron Young ('19), was selected for the Presidents Cup team after finishing runner-up in FedexCup Points and a top-six PGA TOUR member. To finish out Sunday's Singles play, Young sank a 31-foot putt on No.16 to secure the three-up victory over Ryo Hisatsune and helped lead Team USA to the championship.
Young finished the tournament with a 3-2 record. Young's three wins ties the most for the United States team this tournament, alongside Scottie Scheffler and Chris Gotterup. He earned victories in the Sunday Singles, Saturday Foursomes and Four-ball with partner Gotterup. His two losses came in Friday Foursomes alongside partner Justin Thomas and Thursday Four-ball with partner Xander Schauffele.
