Played in 12 games and made four starts…earned his first career start against Fairfield (Nov. 7) and connected on his first collegiate field goal with a three…tallied a career-high six points in back-to-back games against Notre Dame (Feb. 25) and Boston College (Feb. 28) ...finished the season 8-for-20 (40 percent) from three-point range.

Three-star prospect according to 247Sports, the seventh-best prospect in North Carolina and the 38th ranked shooting guard in the country…averaged 27.9 points, eight rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.2 steals per game as a senior at Heritage…earned All-State honors from the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association (NCBCA)…was named to the roster for the Carolinas Classic, an all-star game that features North Carolina's best graduating seniors against their counterparts from South Carolina. However, the game was not played this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his junior season in 2019-20, he led Heritage in scoring, averaging 21.6 points per game…scored 540 points in total, adding in averages of 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per contest…his performance as a junior earned him a spot on the NCBCA All-District Team.
Taylor has accumulated plenty of accolades, including being named to the HighSchoolOT.com All-State Team and earning NBCA All-District, Conference Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference honors…was a two-time conference champion at Heritage and the state runner-up his freshman season.
