SPORTS INFORMATION INTERN
Primarily responsible for publicity, home event operations and
statistics for selected men's and women's nonrevenue sports. Previous experience
with volleyball, field hockey, soccer, tennis or baseball is preferred.
Assist in writing and editing media guides for those sports.
Assist in media operations for other sports as needed.
Assist in editing of game programs for football and men's basketball.
Some travel required with nonrevenue teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in sports information work or a public relations
office as an undergraduate or full-time employee. Knowledge of
Macintosh/PageMaker desktop publishing skills preferred.
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT:
10 months -- August 1, 1999 - May 31, 2000

ATHLETIC OPERATIONS INTERN
Two internship positions are available within the Athletic Operations
Department.
Athletic Operations Interns are responsible to the Director of Athletic
Operations and Facility Management for assisting with planning,
organizing and managing all game-day operations associated within Wake Forest
University's 16-sport athletic department. Other responsibilities include
but are not limited to:
Scheduling and maintenance of all athletic facilities.
Involvement in ACC Championships, NCAA Tournaments and other special
events hosted by Wake Forest.
Coordination of athletic department's team travel motor pool.
A Bachelor's degree is required with Master's degree preferred. Salary
range is $800 - $1,000 per month. Candidates must be available for a
minimum of 10 months with a projected starting date of mid-July, 1999.
