		 Perry, Tysinger Join Media Relations Staff 
July 15, 2004 Samantha Perry and Courtney Tysinger have been named to the Wake Forest Athletic Media Relations staff it was announced today. Perry will serve as assistant media relations director and Tysinger will work as a media relations intern. Perry comes to Wake Forest after spending one year as athletic communications assistant at American University. Previously, she served as a community/public relations intern for the Kinston Indians. A 2003 East Carolina graduate, Perry was a nationally-ranked swimmer (breaststroke) and won two Colonial Athletic Association championships for the Pirates. Perry will serve as publicist for the Wake Forest volleyball, women's soccer, women's basketball and women's tennis teams. "I am honored to be a part of the Wake Forest community and to have the opportunity to work in such a strong athletic program," Perry said. Tysinger, a 2004 Wake Forest graduate, worked the previous two years as a student assistant in the Demon Deacon media relations office. The Richmond (VA) native will serve as the media contact for the two-time national champion field hockey team, cross country, track and field and women's golf. "When I was applying to college, one of the most attractive things about Wake Forest was its outstanding sports program," Tysinger said. "I loved my four years here as a student, especially working directly with athletics my junior and senior years."  |
