July 30, 2003

The Wake Forest ISP Sports Network has expanded its coverage throughout Wake County with the addition of WAJC-FM (99.9 and 90.5 on the FM dial) and WJIJ-FM (94.3).

The new stations will carry all live play-by-play broadcasts of Demon Deacon football and men??s basketball games during the upcoming seasons, as well as ??The Jim Grobe Show?? and ??The Skip Prosser Show,?? weekly call-in shows featuring the two Demon Deacon head coaches.

We are very excited to have WAJC-FM and WJIJ-FM join our network,?? Bill Merrifield, Senior Vice President of ISP Sports, says. ??The many Wake Forest fans in Wake County should now be able to follow the Deacs on one of these stations, which certainly represent our best network coverage ever in this part of the state.??

WAJC-FM and WJIJ-FM replace WHLQ-FM and WYRN-AM which were network affiliates in the Raleigh market this past year.

Wake Forest is coming off an outstanding 2002-2003 athletic year, which included a victory in the Seattle Bowl by Grobe??s football squad and a first-place finish in the ACC regular season race and NCAA Tournament appearance by Prosser??s basketball team.

ISP Sports, the exclusive multimedia rightsholder for WFU Athletics, is based in Winston-Salem, NC. The company also manages radio networks for Georgia Tech, Marshall, Southern Mississippi, Syracuse, Tulane, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, and the University of Central Florida, covering 13 states and listing more than 200 affiliates among its total network membership.
