Botoman has primary communications responsibility for the Wake Forest women's soccer and men's and women's tennis teams and is the secondary contact for the men's basketball team.
In his work with the women's soccer team, Botoman handled all media efforts as the squad advanced to the 2011 NCAA College Cup and captured the 2010 ACC Championship. He served as the Media Coordinator for the first four rounds of the 2011 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship, which were hosted by Wake Forest.
A founding member of the Wake Forest athletic department's Internet Strategy Committee, Botoman helps coordinate all of the department's social media accounts as well as assisting with the formulation of social media policies and strategies for the digital sphere.
Botoman also serves as the Director of Media Relations for the Winston-Salem Open, an ATP World Tour event hosted by Wake Forest every August. He coordinates the tournament's media operations in addition to running the tournament's website and social media accounts year-round.
A native of Marietta, Ga., Botoman graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest in 2010 with a bachelor of arts in history and a minor in journalism. While a student, Botoman also wrote for the Old Gold & Black newspaper, covering Demon Deacon football, basketball and tennis.
In his spare time, Botoman works as a professional tennis umpire, officiating at ATP and WTA events around the country in addition to college matches in North Carolina.
Botoman resides in Winston-Salem.
