Barry Faircloth joined Athletics in July 2002. He currently serves as senior associate athletic director for development and sales where he manages the development operation, ticket sales team and other revenue areas including IMG and Tailgate Guys.

Faircloth was instrumental in securing the BB&T Naming Rights agreement and its recent renewal. While leading the ticket sales group, ticket revenue grew from $2,000,000 to $5,400,000 over a 5-year period.

Under Barry's leadership, the development operation has grown from approximately $7,000,000 in annual commitments to a 3-year average annual commitment from 2015-2017 of $40,000,000. Total gifts to the athletic department as part of the Wake Will Lead campaign have totaled $213,000,000 on an original goal of $95,000,000.

A 1993 Wake Forest graduate, Barry joined the Demon Deacon athletics staff after an 8-year sales and sales management career with Wallace Computer Services in Raleigh, Atlanta and Winston-Salem. After one year as the varsity club director, Barry was promoted to associate athletic director of development. Over the next 15 years, Barry managed various external areas including development, ticket operations, gift accounting, marketing and media relations.

Barry returned to his roots in the athletic department after growing up on the football practice fields as the son of Football Coach Bill Faircloth. Barry and his wife, Beth ('93), have three daughters, Spencer, Sophia, and Olivia.
