Player Bio: Katy Hamlett :: Genrel
Kathryn Hamlett is in her first year as Assistant Director of Media Relations at Wake Forest after joining the staff in the summer of 2007 as the Media Relations Assistant.
Hamlett is the contact for the Wake Forest field hockey team, women's basketball squad and the men's and women's tennis teams.
As the media relations assistant, Hamlett worked with the men's and women's soccer teams as well as track & field. Hamlett coordinated all media efforts for the men's soccer team's run to the 2007 College Cup and the program's first National Championship.
In 2006, Hamlett graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in journalism and joined the sports information department at Vanderbilt University for an 18-month internship.
Hamlett was born and raised in Nashville, Tenn., but has managed to successfully conceal her Southern accent.
