Wake Forest Athletics News

Kristin Weisse began working at Wake Forest in the University writing center in August 2013. She began in athletics in the student-athlete  development  department in August 2014. In her current role in student-athlete services, which she began in June 2016, Weisse is responsible for coordinating tutors for all Demon Deacon student-athletes. She works as the academic counselor for men's & women's track/cross country and men's golf, which entails monitoring the athletes' academic performance and helping them to fulfill their undergraduate academic requirements.

Weisse competed in cross country and indoor track as a graduate student at Wake Forest in 2013. She joined the Deacons after finishing her undergraduate work at the University of Connecticut, where she competed on the Huskies' club cross country team.

She graduated from UConn in 2013, earning her bachelor's degrees in English and psychology. She earned her Master's degree in English from Wake Forest University in 2015. Weisse worked as a tutor for student-athletes while an undergraduate at UConn.

A native of East Longmeadow, Mass., she currently resides in Winston-Salem.
