Bestselling author and WFU alum Emily Giffin remembers legendary equipment manager
She assisted David "Sarge" Tinga as a women's basketball student manager during her time as a women's basketball student-athlete and she continued as Tinga's assistant until his retirement in 2002.
Moody served as a volunteer women's basketball assistant coach at Wake Forest from 1982-85, and as a women's basketball assistant coach at Winthrop College in 1985-86. She earned her M.S. in student personnel counseling education; guidance in 1994 from North Carolina A & T State University.
A certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA), she resides in Winston-Salem.
