Rhodes Scholars

The Rhodes Scholarships are the oldest international fellowships, established in 1902. Each year, students from all over the world are selected with 32 students from the United States for a prestigious fellowship. The selection committee seeks excellence in qualities of mind and in qualities of person which, in combination, offer the promise of effective service to the world in the decades ahead. Rhodes Scholars are elected for two years of study at the University of Oxford, with the possibility of renewal for a third year.

Wake Forest University has had 13 students chosen as Rhodes Scholars since 1986. One Demon Deacon student-athlete, Michelle Sikes in 2007, has been selected as a Rhodes Scholar.
