Come to Study Hall prepared to learn!

Student-athletes who do not aid in promoting a learning environment will be removed immediately and the disturbance will be reported to their coach.

Guidelines to help you promote a learning environment are below. These "guidelines" are carefully enforced by the staff of Student-Athlete Services including Study Hall monitors and Tutors. Please speak with your Academic Counselor if you have any questions.

  • 1. NO TALKING - If you have a question, please tap the person on the shoulder and go into the hallway. You will be asked to leave if you talk in a study room.
    2. NO CELL PHONES - If you are on your cell phone, your phone will be taken and kept at the front desk until you leave. This includes both talking and text messaging. All phones should be turned off.
    3. NO INSTANT MESSAGING - You will be asked to leave if you are using Instant Messenger during study hall time.
    4. NO FACEBOOK or MYSPACE - This also includes the use of any other type of social networking website. All research should be done using academic websites. Use of social networking websites is prohibited.
    5. LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON - The best way to study and learn is to have plenty of light. Please keep ALL lights turned on in the study rooms.
Student-athletes, who are asked to leave, will also forfeit any time earned during that time period.
