Ryan Gravel enters his second season with the Wake Forest football program, joining the Demon Deacons in March 2020.
Prior to the 2021 season, Gravel was elevated to the Personnel Assistant - Offense after serving as a recruiting assistant during his first season with the Deacs.
Prior to coming to Winston-Salem, he spent three seasons at Eastern Kentucky, serving primarily as the director of recruiting during his time in Richmond, Kentucky.
During his time in that role, the Colonels had back-to-back 11th ranked recruiting classes at the FCS level according to 247sports. He also acted as the pro liaison, created social and recruiting content and evaluated all potential recruits.
Before moving to Eastern Kentucky in 2017, Gravel was at Yale for two seasons, working as the director of recruiting in his final year. He helped put together back-to-back top-5 FCS recruiting classes for the Bulldogs while also running all social media outlets and breaking down future opponent game film.
Gravel also has experience as an on-field coach at Division-III John Carroll and NAIA Ave Maria. At both schools, he served as a wide receiver coach for a season each.
Gravel earned his bachelor’s degree in business and sport management in 2013 from Florida Gulf Coast University.
