Seth Payne, a former all-conference defensive lineman, joined the Wake Forest coaching staff in January, 2015. Payne spent the 2014 season as a defensive assistant at Villanova and he will continue to work with the defensive line with the Demon Deacons.
Prior to his stint with the Wildcats, Payne spent three seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Moravian, working with the defensive line and linebackers.
Payne was four-year member of the Moravian football team from 2008-11 and was twice named to the All-Centennial Conference team. A team captain in 2011, Payne was a first team all-league defensive lineman in 2009 and a second team pick in 2010. An accounting major, Payne served as the treasurer of the Moravian Student-Athlete Advisory Committee from 2010-12.
