Matzke joined the Wake Forest equipment staff in 2017 and was a part of the Deacons’ Belk Bowl win over Texas A&M. A graduate of Coastal Carolina University, Matzke earned a degree in recreation and sport management. He is certified by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
Matzke joined the Wake Forest staff after working as the head equipment manager at Eastern Kentucky University. In that role, he managed all equipment, apparel and inventory for the football program while also managing a 10-member student equipment staff. Matzke has served as an assistant equipment manager Furman University in Greenville, S.C. and as an intern on the equipment staff at the University of Michigan.
