Strickland's Collegiate Bio Former Wake Forest safety Josh Strickland is in his first season on the Demon Deacon football staff as a recruiting assistant for social media. Strickland assists the Wake Forest football recruiting office with the planning, organizing and implementation of all social media in recruiting efforts. He, along with Zach Stone, oversees the management and monitoring of the Wake Forest football recruiting social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. A native of Winston-Salem, Strickland played locally at Forsyth Country Day under former Deacons Mark Moroz and Rusty LaRue. Strickland joined the Wake Forest football team as a walk-on in 2009. Strickland played for the Deacons for four seasons from 2009-12 and saw extensive action as a senior, playing in 11 games as a safety and on special teams. Strickland was a three-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll. Strickland graduated from Wake Forest in 2013 with a bachelor of arts degree in communication with a focus in media studies and journalism.
