Craig Zakrzewski joined the athletic staff in 2002. In his current role, he serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Capital Projects and Operations. Zakrzewski provides project management services for the construction and renovation program for the athletic department, to include capital construction of new facilities, major building renewals, and minor renovation projects. In addition, he manages the Event & Facility Operations, Equipment Services, Multimedia, Broadcast, Information Technology and ACC Network teams. Zakrzewski serves as the Sport Administrator for the baseball and women’s soccer programs. He previously was the Chair of the ACC Women’s Soccer committee and is currently a member of the ACC Baseball committee. He is a member of Wake Forest Athletics’ Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to his current role, Zakrzewski served as the Assistant Director of Equipment Services, where he worked with the Demon Deacon men's and women's basketball and women’s soccer programs. He provided oversight of the student manager program and was a participant in the Nike EM/T Footwear Testing Program.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Zakrzewski earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Wake Forest in 2000. While an undergraduate at Wake Forest, he was the Head Student Manager for the Demon Deacon men's basketball team, where he was a member of the 2000 NIT Championship team. Zakrzewski also worked with the Demon Deacon football team as an undergrad.
Prior to his return to Wake Forest in August of 2002, Zakrzewski worked for two years as a Financial Analyst and Commercial Banking Lender for M&T Bank Corporation in Buffalo, N.Y. and in Philadelphia, Pa.
Zakrzewski and his wife, Jennifer, also a 2000 Wake Forest graduate, reside in Winston-Salem with their son, Luke and daughter, Hailey.
