The Wake Forest men's basketball program added graduate manager Isaiah Tisdale to its staff in June of 2021.
Tisdale spent two seasons with men's basketball head coach Steve Forbes and the East Tennessee State Buccaneers after transferring from Vincennes University in Indiana. Upon his arrival in 2018, Tisdale made an immediate impact for the Bucs, scoring a team-high 19 points and dishing out four assists in his debut. He played in 33 games and made 20 starts during the 2018-19 season, averaging 8.8 points, 2.9 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.
The Lexington, Kentucky native was a staple in the lineup by the time the 2019-20 season rolled around. Tisdale started all 34 games of the Bucs' historic 30-win season that culminated in the Southern Conference Championship title and earned him SoCon Tournament MVP honors. He averaged 9.2 points, 2.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds in 29.9 minutes per game his senior year. Tisdale graduated from East Tennessee State in 2020 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.
While at Vincennes, he was a two-time NJCAA All-American and the 15th-ranked Junior College player in the country in 2018. He averaged 17.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game while leading Vincennes to a 34-3 overall record and a trip to the NJCAA Final Four. He ultimately finished his two-year JuCo career with a 66-6 overall record, 1,167 points and 346 assists, while also earning All-Tournament honors at the NJCAA Nationals in 2017 when he led the team to the Elite Eight. Prior to his junior college career, he was an all-state selection at Henry Clay High School and participated in the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Game his senior season.
