Formerly a football student-athlete and a women's basketball scout team player, Ryan Bauder has been named the Director of Basketball Operations for Wake Forest women's basketball heading into the 2016-17 season.

Bauder is a 2015 graduate of Wake Forest and played football for the Demon Deacons from 2011-14 before joining the women's basketball scout team in 2014. During his time with the program, Bauder assisted in opponent scouting and recorded offensive statistics during games. He was also a member of the coaching staff that helped run Jen Hoover Basketball Camps. After graduation, Bauder spent time with Wake Forest's Student-Athlete Services department, where he assisted academic counselors with tutoring, special events, student orientation and more while continuing to work with the women's basketball program.

A member of the ACC Honor Roll from 2012 to 2014, Bauder was also a Dean's List honoree during his time at Wake Forest. He graduated with degrees in both History and Politics and International Affairs while minoring in Religion.

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Bauder currently resides in Winston-Salem.
