Dr. Sparks is an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and works closely with athletic trainers, physical therapists, and performance staff to deliver coordinated, athlete centered care. He also brings leadership experience as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Through Wake Forest Sports Medicine and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Dr. Sparks helps ensure Wake Forest student athletes receive elite, comprehensive medical care that supports durability, availability, and competitive excellence.
Clinical Interests:
Dr. Neil Sparks is a board certified primary care sports medicine physician with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and a Team Physician for Wake Forest University Athletics. He provides comprehensive, nonsurgical care for student athletes, with expertise in injury prevention, musculoskeletal care, concussion management, and return to play.
