Dr. Nick Trasolini is a board-certified orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and a Team Physician for Wake Forest University Athletics, with primary coverage of football and basketball. He specializes in surgical and non-surgical care of shoulder, knee, elbow, and hip injuries, with a focus on safe return-to-play and long-term joint health.
Dr. Trasolini is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and serves as Associate Program Director for the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship. Fellowship-trained at Rush University, and known for his evidence-based, shared-decision approach, Dr. Trasolini works closely with athletic trainers, physical therapists, strength and conditioning staff, and coaches to deliver coordinated, athlete-centered care. His goal is to return athletes to sport safely and efficiently while protecting long-term health.
Through Wake Forest Sports Medicine and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, Dr. Trasolini helps ensure Wake Forest student-athletes receive elite, performance-focused orthopaedic care, from sideline evaluation to full return-to-play.
