Everett Hutto joined Wake Forest Athletics in August 2018 as ACC Network Producer. The Marietta, Ga., native is responsible for providing creative, personnel, and administrative direction for all aspects of production of assigned ACC network telecasts. He serves as a liaison between the ACC, ESPN, and Wake Forest to insure broadcast requirements are met in preparation for the Network’s linear launch in 2019.
Hutto comes to Wake Forest from Winthrop University where he directed and produced over 70 events per year for the Big South Network’s Digital Channel.The Big South Network was a part of Hutto’s career since its inception in 2006 while Hutto was Associate Sports Information Director at UNC Asheville. While in Asheville and continuing to his time at Winthrop, Hutto saw the network grow and played a role the its strategic development and the addition of graphics and replay. He served four years on the Big South’s Multimedia Development Committee.
Hutto began in production while freelancing as a camera operator for WLOS MY-55 in Asheville. He has continued to work on production trucks serving as replay operator, director, and producer on broadcasts of high school, college, and professional sports. He has also worked with the Charlotte Knights and Charlotte Checkers on their in-house video and streaming operations.
Hutto began his career in Sports Information after graduating from Winthrop in 1997. He spent two-years as assistant SID for the Eagles, before a pair of five-year stints in the SID offices at Samford University and UNC Asheville.
Hutto and his wife, Leslie, reside in Winston-Salem.Â
