Justin Van Nice is entering his eighth season with the Demon Deacon family in a new role with current WFU Athletics partners, ASM Global.Â
Van Nice recently transitioned from his athletic department responsibilities to the Assistant General Manager of the LJVM Coliseum where he will be responsible for bringing an array of events to the Winston-Salem community. Â He and the ASM Global team will also be responsible for external events held at Truist Field including large concerts, band competitions, and non-Wake Forest athletic contests.Â
Justin will continue to assist the athletic department in football game day operations, event day parking management and assist with capital projects within the LJVM Coliseum.
Prior to his time in Winston-Salem, Van Nice served as the Director of Facilities and Operations at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, from 2012 to 2015 and was an Events Coordinator from 2010 to 2012 for Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Athletics Department in Tempe, Arizona. During those years, Justin played significant roles in the event and facility management of large-scale events including the 2011 BCS National Championship game, the 2011 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the 2012 Men’s NCAA regional basketball tournament, NCAA Regional host site for Baseball and Softball, celebrity events, International Soccer friendlies and the 63rd Annual Miss Universe Pageant in 2015.Â
A native of Redmond, Oregon; Van Nice graduated from West Virginia University in 2009 with a B.S. in Sport Management with minors in Business Administration and Communication Studies. In 2010, he earned a M.S. in Sport Management from West Virginia University where he served as an Athletic Facilities and Operations Assistant for the WVU Athletic department.Â
When not on campus, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife Jessica and two sons, Dylan, and Colton.Â
