Keion Robinson joined the Demon Deacons' athletic communications office in January 2022, taking on the role of Assistant Director. He currently serves as the primary media contact for women's volleyball while acting as a secondary contact for men's basketball and holding oversight responsibility for women's tennis.
Robinson entered his second year as a graduate assistant for the athletic communications team at Western Illinois University during the 2021-22 school year. From August 2021 to December 2021, he held media responsibilities for football, volleyball, women's basketball and baseball. Additionally, he assisted with game operations and helped supervise first-year graduate assistants in the communications and marketing offices.
In his first year at Western during 2020-21, Robinson acted as the primary contact for the university's volleyball, softball, and golf programs.
Robinson joined the Leathernecks following a stint as an athletic communications assistant at the University of Richmond during the 2019-20 school year. He mainly assisted with editing graphics and videos, photography, game recaps, tracking statistics, and live broadcasting coverage for most of the Spiders’ sports programs.
Prior to his experience at Richmond, Robinson worked as a high school basketball scouting journalist for Phenom Hoop Report. From August 2018 to November 2019, he primarily covered events within the Richmond, Va., region, while releasing daily features on teams, players, tournaments, camps, and other basketball-related topics. Robinson also contributed for a local newspaper company, The Free Lance-Star, in the form of a sports assistant.Â
Robinson spent his undergraduate years at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Va., competing as a four-year letterman and two-year captain of the men’s basketball team. He placed twice on both the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s All-Academic Team and the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.
A native of Fredericksburg, Va., Robinson graduated from Randolph in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise studies and obtained a master’s in sport management from Western Illinois in May 2022.
