Paul Kennedy joined the Demon Deacon athletics staff in 1999. He's currently serving as Assistant AD, Development & Legacy Giving. His fundraising duties include capital giving, athletic planned giving, athletic endowments and annual Deacon Club scholarship support.
A native of Statesville, N.C., Kennedy graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in economics in 1982. Following graduation, he spent 11 years with BellSouth Corporation in Raleigh, N.C. and three years with Quality Oil Company in Winston-Salem.
In 1999, Kennedy returned to Wake Forest as a Wake Forest major gift officer before serving two years as the director of the College Fund from 2000-02.
Kennedy and wife Shelly reside in Winston-Salem. Their sons are also proud Demon Deacons -- Andrew graduated in 2018 and Brooks is part of the class of 2023.
