Wake Forest
Randy Casstevens, CPA, a 1987 graduate of Wake Forest University, joined the athletic staff as Wake Forest’s associate athletic director for finance in May 2012. He was promoted to senior associate athletic director – CFO in July 2016 and promoted to Executive Senior Associate AD, CFO in Jan. 2022.
In his role at Wake Forest, Casstevens is responsible for overseeing and supervising all financial aspects of the athletic department including budgeting, forecasting, review of income and expenditure items and reporting. In addition, he oversees various internal operating units including equipment, ticket operations, capital projects, event management, facilities rentals/operations and turf.
Casstevens graduated cum laude from WFU in 1987 with a B.S. in Accountancy. He earned an MBA from Wake Forest in 1995.
Prior to joining Wake Forest, Casstevens served as the CFO of a local marketing and advertising firm. Other experience in his career includes financial consulting for small businesses; serving as a counselor with the Graduate School of Business at WFU; six years in public accounting; and serving in various financial roles at Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation including CFO, Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller.
Casstevens and his wife, Deborah, reside in Winston-Salem with their two sons, Ben and William.
