Sarah Hixon joined Wake Forest in 2021 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Rehab Coordinator, primarily overseeing rehabilitation for all Wake Forest student-athletes. She came to Wake Forest after spending the last three years as a physical therapist at the University of Connecticut. Prior to her time in Storrs, Hixon was a sports therapy resident at Duke University.
Hixon graduated from the University of Georgia in 2013 with a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training. She then graduated in 2016 from Augusta University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia) with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Hixon resides in Winston-Salem with her husband Zack and their dog Russ.
