Shelbie Wilson joined Wake Forest Athletics as an academic counselor in June 2018. She works directly with the Demon Deacon cross country and track programs, in which she is responsible for monitoring the academic performance of student-athletes and helping them to fulfill their undergraduate academic requirements. She also coordinates study hall and tutors and aids in the development of time management skills for the student-athletes.
Wilson joined the Deacons after serving as an academic counselor at Marshall University. She also previously served as the compliance and academics assistant at the University of Detroit Mercy.
Wilson earned her undergraduate degree in communications from Saginaw Valley State University in 2014. She then went on to earn a graduate degree in sports administration from Wayne State University in 2016.
A native of Livonia, MI, Wilson currently resides in Winston-Salem.
