Tarik Muse came to Winston-Salem in Feb. 2022 as the Deacs Football Sports Performance Coordinator and is set to enter his fourth season with the football program and was retained to work on Ben Iannacchione’s staff as an Assistant Director, Strength & Conditioning in Jan. 2025.Â

Prior to coming to Wake Forest, Muse spent two seasons (2020-21) at Kansas as the Jayhawks Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach. From internships to other positions, Muse has worked at Mercer, Youngstown State, NC State, Duke and Akron.Â

With that, he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.Â

Muse is a 2019 graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in Applied Science. He earned his master's in Higher Educational Leadership from Mercer in 2020.
