Zoe Mooney joined the Wake Forest Athletic Department as the Assistant Director of Digital & Email Marketing in December 2025. She was elevated to Director of Digital & Email Marketing in April 2026. Prior to Wake Forest, Mooney spent three years at Elon University.
Mooney arrived at Elon University in October 2022 and served as the Assistant Director of Marketing. Prior to her time at Elon, she spent two years at Valdosta State University as the Marketing and Promotions Graduate Assistant for the athletics department.
Mooney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from Flagler College in 2021, where she was a student-athlete on the softball team, and went on to earn her Master of Business Administration from Valdosta State University in 2023.
She and her husband, Thomas, enjoy playing with their dog, Jared.
