Pete Paukstelis serves as Counsel/Senior Athletics Strategy Advisor. Before joining Wake Forest in 2019, he spent 11 years as associate general counsel at Kansas State University. Prior to working in higher education, he managed his own law firm, was a senior associate with Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles, and worked as an associate at Stinson LLP in Kansas City.

He graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in Philosophy and Biology, and earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
