Men's Tennis Fares Well At South Carolina Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The Wake Forest men's tennis doubles duo of Marc Grae and Andres Guzman won the B-4 doubles bracket at the South Carolina Fall Invitational October 22-24.

Grae and Guzman defeated a duo from UNC Greensboro 8-1 to win the bracket on Sunday. To reach the final they defeated UNC Wilmington by default.

In singles action, freshman David Bere lost in the final of the B-4 Singles bracket to John Chesworth of Furman 4-6, 5-7. Also on Sunday, in the semifinals, Bere defeated Mauricio Delgado of Winthrop 6-3, 6-4 to reach the afternoon's final.

The men's tennis team's next competition will be Nov. 3-8 when they travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the ITA Fall Regionals.
